Yes, your cautions are good ones, and I do always check for free space in the target tablespaces for tables and indexes before proceeding.

But presumably the index tablespace won't need enough space to recreate _all_ of the indexes on the table all over again, as the blocks which were held by the pre-move index would be freed up after it is rebuilt...? Received on Thu Dec 29 2005 - 15:17:08 CST
