Which ones would they be since sqlplus and tnsping are working.

These were set:
TNS_ADMIN=/u01/app/oracle/product/primary/network/admin/

ORACLE_DOC=/u01/app/oracle/product/primary/oracle_doc
ORACLE_OWNER=oracle
ORACLE_SID=XXX
ORACLE_TERM=vt220
ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/primary
