Why 0+1? 10 is more safe and I think they are as fast? Since 0+1 is mirrored stripe, when one disk breaks, no other disk can break (since the raid will use the mirror of the breaked disk's stripe). Instead the raid 10 is striped mirrors, which means that when a disk breaks, its mirror disk is used, so all other mirrors can have broken disk until the raid will be unusable.
