Hi Experts,

               I am having a Question regarding the Os level Authentication.
Scenario is

           I am having an OS level authenticted user in my database.User name : OPS$ORACLE.I am using the ORACLE 9.2.0.05 database on IBMAIX 5L server.Once I am in the unix login as oracle , I use to put a sqlplus / .At one point of time I was supposed to remove the os level authentication for the OPS$ORACL user. So I did an

                "alter user OPS$ORACLE identified by oracle";
                  user alterd

After that also if iam back in the Unix login as the oracle user and using a sqlplus /,it is allowing me with out asking password . can any one give some idea on this Received on Wed Dec 14 2005 - 23:46:04 CST
