Thanks for the response. I was aware of that, which is what prompted the original question. Given that NetBackup uses RMAN, is there an advantage of NetBackup over RMAN?

The only real advantages I can see are:
GUI-driven versus command-line
Direct to tape (where RMAN backups will need to be copied to tape in another process)

Anyone else have any ideas what makes NetBackup adventageous over RMAN?
