Hmmm...

I see what you're saying about the restore/recover commands; I'm working with example code from the online docs, and none of their examples use the restore command; they only use 'recover until'.

As to the tablespace being current - I'd gathered that I could bring an existing tablespace up to a specific point in time, even if it still exists and is current - an example would be recovery from an erroneous table drop. Perhaps I have to actually _drop_ a table, or otherwise affect/damage the tablespace, in order to make it a candidate for such recovery?

Clearly some conceptual issues here on my part.
