ODBC connection

I'm a novice user in Oracle and I'm trying to set up ODBC connection with Oracle 10g R2. Could someone please tell me:

1- Does the ODBC driver install as part of the standard installation or do I need to install it separately? I could not find a download driver for 10.2

2- How should I configure connection settings and test that it has be configured properly?

3- How can I create a connection string and a DSN file?
