Oracle has built in software to take back up on tape drive
directly...you can configurwe rman in cataloge or no catalog mode and
start taking backup, make sure ur database must be in archive mode



u can also use third part tools to take backup but they r expensive in
costs



veritas netbackup server which can take backup database across
OS/plateforms multiple
