Andy, what kind of db link are you using in each case? There are several different ways to define db links: connected user, fixed user, and current user. There are also public and private db links.

How you set up your link matters. A public link in one case and a private link in the other could be responsible. In the case of a fixed link object privileges are a likely culpert.

If you connect as system on database TC1 can system desc the TC_002.CLASS table?
