Thank you. Yes, I agree that dropping would have been a better way to lose a database.

This "episode" turned into a more in-depth lesson than what I initially intended. An accident with the RAID was the cause of deleting all the Oracle database files. Since this is our testing/development box, I decided it was time to learn more about Oracle. We are in the process of adopting Oracle.
