i. adding the string "/3GB" to the boot.ini as per described in the documentation should be sufficient.

ii. I have not had an issue with "/3GB" and Oracle 9i R2 or 10g R1 on w2k adv server or w2k3 server (enterprise or standard edition of the OS). It has worked without issue, even with Oracle Database Server Standard Edition.

Without the "/3GB" switch, the 2 oracle.exe processes will only be able to access 2 GB of physical memory. They will be able to access more than that amount using virtual memory, which is less than desirable.
