Then again, IBM docco (at least back in the SQL/DS abd DB2/MVS 1.0 days) was always the most amazing reading available. Just like ORacle docco these days, everything you could possibly want to know was in the docco. But extraction of relevant info in a reasonable amount of time, now that was THE art form.

Off topic (then again, what isn't in this thread?) thinking about of docco reminds me of the CDC (Univac 1108) custom OS docco back in the '70s. On the front inside cover of every document that was a notice

  "This product has no bugs. However, exceptional result may occur ..."
