If both hosts are using a common backup storage server, i.e. Tivoli, etc, then there is no issue. The auxiliary host logs into the storage server as the target host, so it will see the pieces created during backups. On the auxiliary host side, the db_file_name_convert and log_file_name_convert will make any directory name changes required.
