The patchsets are cumulative. You don't need to put 9.2.0.5 on then 9.2.0.6 then 9.2.0.7 you would just put on 9.2.0.7.

But you need to have some kind of a plan for making sure that the oracle maintenance patchset does really work for you and doesn't cause your applications problems.

Don't believe what I say though please read thoroughly through all of the oracle documentation and consider what your worst cases are.

If your system is not a throw away system you better have a plan for backing up stuff before doing any maintenance installs.
