I have the exact same code/logic...
except:
I had the open_mode as 'W' and yours is:

define output directory l_output := utl_file.fopen('CTEMP', pfname, 'WB', 32760);

I was getting *sporadic* utl_file.write_error on files > 3.5 mb and I thought I hit utl_file limit. Received on Fri Oct 07 2005 - 21:55:36 CDT
