Is this in response to my comment? If so, you misunderstood. I meant 'don't tune unless there is a legit reason, such as user complaints.'

I've seen DBAs 'tune' because BCHR was low, not because there was a problem with the system. Waste of time, generally because they did not understand what was happening. (Been guilty of that myself, some time ago. Learned with experience and careful guidance by some on this ng.)
