It is quite clear database and jvm are more and more getting
interrelated. Not installing the JVM has nothing to do with
'installing the minimal amount ... that we really need',  as more and
more features rely on the presence of the JVM (even a new feature like
catpatch), not installing the JVM is just plain stupid.
