Best way to migrate to ASM?

I'm planning to migrate from a single instance non-ASM database to a new 2 node RAC database using ASM. We are running Oracle 10.1.0.4 Standard Edition on Solaris 9 on all servers. I'm looking for recommendations on the best way to do this. Should I look at using the datapump or RMAN? So far the only documentation I've been able to find on metalink are for doing "inplace" migration to ASM using RMAN (moving the current database to ASM on the same server). That won't work for me. I need to move to a new database on different servers. Does anyone have any guidance on the best way to do this?

Thanks,
