Undo is exactly the same internally as rollback. It's got a different name to remind you it can do a whole lot more and it is totally automated.

Which should make your life easier AND give you time to read about that feature (and all the other wonderful stuff in Oracle9i that you have missed) in the Oracle Concepts Manual, Oracle Database Administration Guide and especially the Oracle Database New Features Guide (all available at http://docs.oracle.com)
