Hi all and thanks for your replies,
My Oracle version is 10g( I reinstall it today) and Windows XP sp2.I did not format windows,One of SAs did it because of an HW problem with motherboard that he did imagine is a Disk problem.   He have formatted only C: so our windows was gone and all other programs remained useless.I have a backup but it is for about 1 week ago and so old and I don't want to loose recent weeks data.   Today I installed a new Oracle without "create database using dbca" option , at the same path as old one(I moved old oracle files before doing this).   Now my problem is: How can I associate those old files with the new instance? I know I should use oradim.exe but what then? Can anyone help me? This is so vital for me!
 -Thanks in advance
