I am required to install multiple Oracle version on smae machine. Oracle 9202, 9203, 9206 on same RedHat Linux AS 3, for different vendors. So I created three users and three groups, ora9202:ora9202_dba, ora9203:ora9203_dba, ora9204:ora9204_dba, with differenct Oracle_Home,
/9202, /9203, /9204

The problem is, after I installed Oracle 9202, I have to delete the file
/etc/oraInst.log in order for the installation of 9203 to procees. (Write
permission) What effect will this have to Oracle 9202 if I removed
/etc/oraInst.log for 9202 for installation of 9203?

Is this the correct, most convinent way of handling this situation?

Your help is highly appreciated. Received on Sat Aug 06 2005 - 06:10:30 CDT
