Stephen et al,

Ok, I'm slowly starting to get a little 'un-confused'...

I got a copy of a Metalink article (Doc ID 233436.1). It looks like this is part of Oracle's "Early Adopter" program, and it provides the way to split off several "pieces" (sorry, I'm not that familiar with the Oracle-ese) such as OID, Oracle SSO server, etc., so that they are running under OAS 10g, while the rest of Ebusiness 11i runs under OAS 9i.

It looks like the goal of this paper is to allow you to move the Oracle 'infrastructure' (rather than the business apps) to OAS 10g, while keeping the business apps on OAS 9i, with everything still 'integrated' and working together. Since I'm not that familiar with these Oracle products, I'm kind of unclear about 'WHY?' (i.e., advantages, etc.) you would want to do this?

Can anyone shed some insight into this for me?

Thanks again,
