If you don't know, how are we supposed to know?

depends on how long you want to retain backups, how often you do them, if you take incremental backups....

It's probably more expensive to calculate such a figure, which then, will still be at best an estimation, than to just throw some disk space at the server and if it is not sufficient to add more.
