Hi all,

I have been assigned to create a formula which should compute the disk size which should be allotted to some database and it should not fall short for some period.

Iam calculating the size of the data for that period according to the given requirement but i have some doubts regarding other things which i have to consider for disk space.

Can you please explain

  1. what is the approach i have to take to estimate the sizes of indexes which will be formed for the user tables ( and i dont know for how many tables the index will be formed ). Do i have to take an optimistic thinking that every table will possess index.

2.What size i have to allocate for the back up files . Do i have to take the complete data size into consideration.

It would be better if more information provided on this topic. Please help me in this .
