First of all it doesn't belong here because Toad is a third party product.
Secondly, as I already stated, if you *can* connect using sql*plus it is not an *Oracle* problem. You obviously didn't read that bit. Apart from that, too many people invariably blame when somethings goes wrong 'the database' ie the product they don't know. This is typical attitude of vendors and consultants responsible for third party products: when something goes wrong it is *never* a problem in *their product*, but it is always, following their cover ur ass policy, 'the database'. There are some British consultancy firms, which shall remain nameless, who probably train all their consultants in this kind of responses to customers.
So: If Toad doesn't connect, why would it be an *Oracle problem*, and should it go to an Oracle forum, where Quest has their own?
