The data is not about stats.

By now we are even considering to use MatLab as the alogrithms are quite complex, and it has the possibility to access DBs directly and in can be compiled into and/or together with C/C++.

Anybody any experience with analysing scientific data comming from an Oracle DB? Any good hints/links on that topic?
