Chloe there are several different complicating factors between the releases of the database's that are being backed up with rman, the version of the recovery catalog itself, and the versions of the rman executables and the recover.bsq file.

Robert Freeman has a pretty good book on RMAN that you might want to consider obtaining ... or just checking out from your Library. The oracle doc also covers this stuff pretty well. Received on Mon Jul 11 2005 - 15:43:20 CDT
