Frequent log switch will cause frequent archiving if archiving is
turned on.


Why don't you think that archive files get created due to
setting of archive_lag_target?



And the parameter name is fast_start_mttr_target, which is related
to checkpointing. Why would you believe this would cause frequent
archiving?
