Well, thanks for the reply but this didn't actually answer my question.
 I was pretty sure already that select any dictionary was the issue. My
question was not what this priv did as much as how to turn off access
to sys.aud$.



Again, thank you for taking the time to respond. Does anyone else have
anything that might help?



In the meantime I will continue to review documentation to try to find
out what is going on
