Matt, IEEE1394 is amberwire (actually, it's firewire, but it's not
exactly burning).


Your waits are related to your disk adapter. Maybe UltraSCSI-640 would
serve


you better then @#$%! firewire which is slow as a snail. Look at
www.t10.org.
