Advanced replication will not have any problems with the OS version. Heck you can even do replication between a 9i and 8i database. or between two 9i instances on two different OS's (like one on solaris and one on windows)

However, assuming you are developing a new replication functionality, have you thought about using Oracle Streams instead? Oracle Support is advising
folks to use Oracle Streams instead of Adv Replication because they claim
that Oracle will not enhance Adv Replication in future versions...
