Fair enough.



I agree that a Level 1 backup is not a full backup - but it's also true
that it took just as much time as the previous backup, and output files
of the same size.



I'll recheck my settings, re-run the backup, and if I get similar
results I'll post all the details.



Oh - and this is a sandbox database, made by me for the express purpose
of working through RMAN. No one else is in it.
