Check the product datasheet for your particular Maxtor drive. If it uses the Oxford Semiconductor OXFW911 sbp2 chipset, it is capable of two simultaneous connections. I just took a quick look on Maxtor's site and the OneTouch and OneTouch II drives both use the Oxford 911 (sbp-2 compliant), so the drives should not be the issue. (sorry, I can't help on the linux config; now if you want to use Windows w/ an iSCSI test setup... ;-)
