Interconnect Variable Length records

Good morning all,

Not sure if this is the right place for this question...

Just starting with Interconnect and need to know if Interconnect can handle, as input, variable length formatted text files.

One file we have contains an 80 byte header records, followed by several variable length detail records , followed by an 80 byte trailer record.

Have searched thrugh Oracle documentation with success.
