DB2 has no technology equivalent to RAC. Yes they both have features for high availability. But a federated database, lacking transparent fail-over does not contain anything that does what RAC does.

If you wish to debate this feel free to do so. But point to specific DB2 functionality that you think is equivalent to TAF.

PS: Who got anywhere first is irrelevant. Whose is there now with currently supported versions is relevant.
