Hi Everyone,

i need to set up some TEST replication from our main database to a database set up on remote test server.

before anyone jumps in and says "READ THE MANUAL", i have. i have also had a look through the OEM GUI wizard as well :p

what i would like are some **quick steps** on what i need to do to set up MASTER TO MASTER replication between the database to be replicated and the remote test server.

we are only a small office, we don't need anything replicated beyond table structures and data.

what we are trying to set up:
* failover so if the main server crashes, users will transparently swap
over to the remote backup system until the main server is back up.

what we have:
* Oracle 9.2 standard edition master and remote.

what i need:
* quick steps on what i need to do

once i know what steps i need to follow, then i can do the full research and put it together.

the manual just left me confused, and telling me a lot about snapshot views which did not seem relevant to our situation.

useful links are also appreciated.

i look forward to everyone's constructive replies.
