In addition to Frank's thoughts, you'll want to stop any Oracle
services created by the 9.2.0.1.0 install prior to installing
additional oracle software/patches.


Check to see if any java processes are running (zombies) such as
javaw.exe (older versions may have been jrew.exe) and kill them off
with the task manager (or better yet, pskill from sysinternals).
