Thanks for taking the time to explain. I will keep and study this post
I'm now getting onto the O'Reilly book "Oracle PL/SQL Programming" by Feuerstein (good?). With that and a couple of books by Kyte (Effective Oracle by Design, and Expert One on One).
If I had a good mastery of these texts, could I assume that I have a reasonable standard of Oracle programming - I am a Delphi programmer who is trying to make the move to Oracle - Delphi market appears to be dying (at least here in Ireland). I had an Oracle opportunity a few years ago, and have been kicking myself for the last two at least. (Though the TOAD is written in Delphi!!).

The exact text and/or number of error messages is useful (!= "it didn't work!"). Thanks. Furthermore, As a courtesy to those who spend time analyzing and attempting to help, please do not top post.Received on Fri Apr 29 2005 - 11:34:56 CDT
