Hi,



When you backup your controlfile to trace, you'll have a script to
recreate the controlfile when you lose it. When you use the script in
the trace-file, you'll lose the current status of the database.
So when you have put one or more datafiles off-line, then recover using
the script in the trace-file, the recovery will not know that the
datafiles were offline.
