It probably takes longer to recover from archivelogs. You would also have to make sure that everything is logged.

RMAN backs up changed datablocks in the database. You should also make backups of your archivelogs to do point in time recovery when necassery. Restore with RMAN is much simpler in my opinion. Received on Wed Apr 20 2005 - 10:25:18 CDT
