And, in addition, you should deinstall what you tried to
install, using the Universal Installer.



You should also check your path - it may well be that your
database Oracle Home path is now second, where it used to
be first.


Your last attempt to install s/w would now be first...



But first try to get the instance up and running, and your
database opened. Only then lets take a look at your network.
