*you* want to identify the issues in *your* environment (e.g. partitioned compressed IOTs) on *your* platform and submit the bugfix requests to Oracle Support so that they make it into 10.2 or a 10.1 patchset.

Just waiting and hoping that when 10.2 comes out that you won't hit any issues is pretty much just wishfull thinking.

If you haven't leveraged a new feature since 7.3.4 ... you have little to worry about ... and little reason to upgrade.

9.2 is still supported until 2007.
