Changeing database parameters on the fly

I'm running 9.2.0.4, and I need to increase the db_cache_size.  Has
anyone done it on the fly?  Are there any gotchas?  Pitfalls?  Things
to watch out for?



I guess I'm looking for anyone with some experience doing this to give
me a heads up on what to look for.
