The account is a member of administrators, and all problems described in the OP were from the server itself the db resides on. I also created a new user for the machine only, made it part of the dba group, logged on to it locally and get the same results. What I really don't get is why "connect sys/pwd as sysdba" is not working, especially when it did the first go-around!

I'll open a TAR if I dont figure it out pretty soon though, just curious if anyone else has run in to this.. Received on Thu Mar 10 2005 - 16:33:15 CST
