Re: ORA-19504: failed to create file while using rman

and check following things:
- is this Domain user or local user ( must be domain user , because you
want to write on network drive )
- user is in ORA_DBA group

• user is in local administrator group ( on both computers )

There are some other Policies , but they are for Oracle Enterprice Manager to run remote jobs, backups and other processes:

• On Local Security Policies sure that user has following policies
  1. Act as part of operation system
  2. Log on as batch job
  3. Log on as service
  4. Log on locally
  5. Replace a precess level token

Restart Service ...
