Hi ,

I have a large datawarehouse system on redhat linux 2.1 itanium 64 cpus, 9.2.0.5 rac with 2 nodes and ocfs . My main problem is with backups. Since there is no third party software available on itanium 64 , i cant get rman backup . The only backup solution for me is to copy all data files to tape after stopping the db server . This is not a good backup stragety , this is just a file system backup . Is there anyone who has similiar system? The third party softwares such as legato has no version on redhat linux 2.1 on ia 64 but on redhat 3.0 . This means upgrading of both my os to 3.0 and database to 10g .

I will be appreciated for any help.
Kind Regards,
