While true, very difficult to justify in a putatively "objective" test such as this.

All too true. A profit center and marketing tool, in the guise of certification. In some cases, it is testing the ability to spit back platitudes from the classes.

I think there may be more value in us ripping it apart than anything else. It certainly doesn't test the ability to look things up in a manual or online, which is one of the ways I make myself most valuable.
