I take it you meant to write 00060 (deadlock) and not 00600 (internal error). A very different set of errors and definitely one that should show up in the Alert log.

Double check the instance parameter values related to the log directories.

If you run a normal trace I take it the files show up where expected?

If normal trace file show up where expected then and noboby with experience using 9.2.0.4 on Redhat posts you may want to open an iTAR.
