Well then wrap a script around it ... but the basic commands that you could use are 1 cp to copy the old file and 2 > to truncate it. There are some alternate approaches think you can tell the listener to log to a specific file.

The > to whack it of course operates while the listener is still operating. You might miss a couple of entries between the "cp" and the
">".
