Thanks for the suggestions.  Would you think installing 9i Personal
Edition, importing 817 dump, and exporting with 816 work?



Probably getting way out of scope for Oracle.  If they can't backward
compatable an 817 export to an 816 import, then messing with 9 could
cause massive gravitational and structural failure to the cosmos.
